Home Production Notes Kabuki Poetry

I still have plans to put the poetry book together. But I have several other book plans too, and it will probably be sometime after this Alchemy series is completed.
I'll definitely post updates in my books and on this board. |

I will do something like this for early next year. Maybe March or April. I was considering a type of gallery (I have some GREAT pieces of art in hand), but I'm leaning more in the direction of a book (or series of 3) of poetry. There would be brand new Kabuki images by top talents, and opposite each would be a poem by me done in mixed media. The story would be told through the poems, and each would have an amazing image that corresponded to it.
I'd like to get everyones opinion on what they think of this. Would you prefer one solid gallery book? Or maybe three issues of an illustrated Kabuki poetry book. That way I'd be able to showcase more art, and also integrate the art with the poems and a sort of story. It would be more ambitious and expirimental a format. I'm not sure it has been done in comics
before.
Artists that would be included for sure are: Kent Williams, Jon Muth,
Greg Spalenka, Thom Ang, Andy Lee, Scott Morse, Ashley Wood, Brian Bendis, and much more. I have a LOT of Kabuki Art pieces that top talents have given me over the years. I want to make sure I show case it in the right way. |
