Comics are a subversive medium capable of great communication and cultural influence. The format affords an individual to voice a singular vision on an international scale under the radar of big business interest and federal regulation.

Notes:
· The limited editon softcover, which was signed and numbered by David Mack, was limited to 350 copies and 300 copies of the hardcover
· The limited edition hardcover included a Kabuki painting
· From page 29 of Kabuki: Skin Deep #1: "As for the Circle of Blood trade paperbacks, there was a batch of them that got by the printer with faulty glue. Though the printer took out an ad in CBG claiming responsibility for the problem and guarenteeing to replace any copy, some of you may not have heard. Just send any bad copies to Caliber's Michigan address on the inside front cover and they will send you a new one."
· Because the replacement copies also fell apart, David Mack moved to Image Comics and reissused the trade paperback
· The introduction was written by Jim Steranko
· The line "You Know Who You Are" in the "thank you" section is probably a nod to a similar line in the credits section of the Nine Inch Nails album Broken
· The afterword, which was written by Takashi Hattori, is available at NohTV.com
· The Artist Proof edition, which was limited to 15 hardcovers that featured an original brush painting of Kabuki by David Mack, was available only through MothComix.com
