A rational person will not expect the world to conform around their ideas. They understand that they must conform to the conventions of the rational world. Therefore, all important breakthroughs are made by irrational people.

Emerald City Comicon 2007 Photos
Pat Loika posted the following photos of David Mack, Mandy Amano, Mike Oeming and Brian Michael Bendis at the Emerald City Comicon.

Thoughts on Emerald City Con & CBLDF Auction
From David Mack:
Raised over three grand at the CBLDF artist duel/auction.

Thanks for bidding!

I did close to 10 11x17 drawings in the hour with Terry Moore and Darick Robertson, Steve Leiber, Phil Hester, and more. And Greg Thompson auctioned them right off to the crowd.

Thanks for a great crowd turn out and for bidding on and winning my drawings. It is for a great cause.

Good to see everyone today.

Now I have to go arm lock Oeming.

David Mack later noted:
Mike did an amazing arm wrestling show - I'm sure there will be hundres of photos of it here soon. The entire con literally stoped and converged around the Oeming MOB arm wrestling spot for the last hour as Oeming performed.

Craig Thompson did a great job as ringleader of the art auction and he said we raised $3400 in that hour for the fund.

Thanks for everyone participating in that.

I met Gail [Simone] for the first time and she graced us for the arm wrestling!
