Thanks to Saraquael for reporting that David Mack will provide artwork for a 4" x 6" card that will be packaged with the He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special DVD (SRP: $19.98), which will be released on December 6 according to TVShowsOnDVD.com. A lot has happened since then, as Beckett has gone from an independent publisher known for its inexpensive mini-series to an Image Comics studio hoping to become known for reasonably priced original graphic novels, of which Ronin Hood is their first. At $9.99 for 96 pages - plus an introduction and a couple of pin-ups from David Mack - even a half-decent effort would merit some attention, but fortunately writer/creator (and Beckett Entertainment President) Jeff Amano has aimed higher and succeeded at staking a claim for what some believe is the future of independent comics: OGNs.
