I don't have a style. I never have. If someone looks at one thing I did and decides to call that particular piece 'my style,' that is between them and reality.

Kabuki: The Alchemy #3 Shipping Update
Although Comics Buyer's Guide reported that Kabuki: The Alchemy #3 would be released on December 1, the issue will not be on sale this week according to DiamondComics.com's shipping list. Also, the issue was not included on the tentative December 8 shipping list.

Mid-Ohio Con Pictures
Taki Soma posted two pictures of David Mack holding a copy of Kabuki: The Alchemy #3 at the Mid-Ohio Con.

Length of Kabuki: The Alchemy #3
After annoucing that JD Lombardi, Dave Cummings and Michael Goodman have a letter in Kabuki: The Alchemy #3, David Mack explained that he reduced the size of the letters column in order to make room for the "28 pages of solid story and art." He then added:
Most Marvel books that I've done are 20 or 21 pages.

I figured I should try to keep every issue of this series at 22 if I could.

But with issue #2, it went to 24.

And with issue #3, it went to 28.

So, less letters column, but more story.

But I'm getting more letters for this arc than ever before. And really well thought out ones. So I'll get them all in there eventually.

Kabuki #3 is a really special issue to me. There is a much bigger book inside this book.

You'll see!

And much of it has a completely different style than you've seen from me before. Looking forward to your reaction on that.

Powers #6 Letters Column Joke
According to Shannon Chenoweth (AKA RangerChic), when a fan asked how one submits a What If? story to Marvel, Brian Michael Bendis jokingly replied in the Powers #6 letters column:
The editor of the What If? comics is David Mack. Send all What If? submissions to: 13 Boone St. Bromley, KY 41016

SubCultures Portland Show
When asked if he will attend the opening night of the SubCultures show in Portland with Anh Tran, creator of the Tranimals, David Mack stated:
Sadly, I won't be there, as I have all kinds of movie meetings and conference calls. But I've seen all the art she has put together for the show, and it is really cool. That is going to be a very cool event. With Anh, and Craig Thompson, and Jeffery Brown. I imagine Bendis will probably be there, too, with Anh. I'm really proud of her!

David Mack Mentioned in Review
From SilverBulletComicBooks.com's review of The Walking Dead #13:
The black-and-white approach in the hands of an artist such as Frank Miller (Sin City) or David Mack (early Kabuki) tends to be an expressive technique that prioritizes abstractions of line and composition over actual depiction.
