Miraculously, the medics bring me back. But part of me felt like it did not belong in this world. Either part of me was left on the other side, or I brought a part of my mother back with me.

Overview of Canadian Convention Seminar
From Newsarama.com:
The best attended seminar of the convention was held on Sunday. Called The Art of Comics Writing it featured David Mack and Brian Michael Bendis. The workshop room was filled, it was standing (or sitting on the floor) room only. Generally these type of lectures and Q&As don’t really reveal much about process. But Mack and Bendis are no bozos. They are educated and well read. Bendis opened the session with a shopping list of must reads including Joseph Campbell’s Power of Myth and David Mamet’s On Directing Film. Both writers stressed the importance of learning how to write. Learning the rules so you know them cold. Only then can you break the traditional molds and do something crazy.
