Re: for those of you losers who aren't reading NYC MECH

I've been NYC MECHED!
I have reservations for Wizard Philly...
Mar 01, 2005 9:41 pm
I'm going to be there.
Look for me set up in artists alley next to Andy Lee and Jeff Amano.
Kat Amano should be hanging around too.
And hopefully, if I'm really lucky, Mandy Amano too

I had such a good time having misadventures in NY with you guys last April.
That was a delight.

P.
I will definitely be in LA Long Beach in two weeks.
I talked to Bendis today who is LA on business, and he is now considering
going to Wiz LA too.

Yano,
What are you doing in Alaska?
And nice story, Human Target.
Please keep us updated.

Yeah, that was really cool that you came by and picked up the entire
set of Kabuki volumes.
If anyone on this board picks up a bunch of Kabuki stuff from me at a show, I promise to make it worth it and hook you up!
I noticed Jumbo Pimp from this board is in the background behind you in that pic as well. And the other guy with his face obscurred is I think Ian Feller, formerly of Combo and CrossGen.
You can make a them/habit/collection of photos where you hold up people...

Yeah, maybe Maxim will do a photo shoot with you like they are doing
with her. Good luck with that!
I'm really glad you liked the first Kabuki volume.
Glad you are going for volume 2. Vol 2 collects the first painted books
I ever did. It contrasts the first one very well.
But I think vol 4 and especiall vol 5 are my favorites. And along with
vol 1, they are most relevant to the current Kabuki series at Marvel.
Thanks for reading Kabuki. And please let me know what you think of the next Kabuki book you read.

Canadians are a delight.
And Peter Dixon,
Thanks for that mention.
As soon as I get some project commitments squared away, I'll e-mail
you about the show to see what we can do.
Thank you so much for your continued hospitatlity!

very cool indeed. so is it to scale and will that model be that
same as the one sold?
I think he is sculpting it actual size. I think he said it may be as big
as 12 or 13 inches.
And that is the sculpt in process of the next Kabuki statue to be released.
There was one before about 7 years ago. So he wanted to make this one
quite a bit bigger and different for contrast.
Clayburn Moore is an amazing artist.

It is inspiring. I like to sculpt too, and seeing clays attention to
muscle structure gets me all antsy to sculpt in clay.
Mostly I do life size figures though.

Oh, your eye is damaged and you have to wear a patch? Yeah, Whatever.
So did you talk to the porn star or what?
I love this board.
Re: I'M BACK BITCHES!!!

Oeming and I just discussed.
And in an act of MOB solidarity, we will also be wearing an eye patch
for a month.
We'll put a little MOB right on it in white.
I urge all of you attending WW LA to show your support of Bendis by
also where an eye patch at the show.
Oeming will be giving out the patches with MOB on them for the rest of the convention season when you buy a sketch from him or contribut to ACTOR or the BENDIS fund.

It includes Bigfoot, Yeti, Nessie, Chupacabra and the grey aliens among
others.

It's been out for 3 months!
I promise it doesn't spoil anything.
And if you haven't read it yet, I'll have it at Wizard LA.
And I'll hook you up if you need it.
Keep me updated on the after hours activities. I'll try to stop by and
say hello like in Dallas and Chicago.
