A reminder for those of you planning to attend.
I should be signing there 1-7pm.
It's a great store. Check it out.

Hey...I could drive up there. It's less than an hour and a half
away.
You are ceratinly welcome if you have the time and if you aren't sick of
me yet.
Comic Book World has been running TV commercials for my signing. Lots
of people seem to be seeing them where I live. You can see the commercial
and stills of it at davidmackguide.com.
I don't know how local the commercials are running. Do you see them
on TV all the way down in Lexington?

If you attend, please introduce yourself so I know who you are.
What comic shop do you work at?
Re: I'm signing at Comic Book World in Florence KY this Wed

Probably!
But still far off that I'm not 100% on it.
I'll keep the board updated.
Thanks,
David

You are in Belgium?
I've been there a few times and really enjoyed it.
I signed in Brussells a couple times at Forbidden Zone.
It was fun.
Ever go there?
I'll do Italy next year
Now that they have Italian translations of Kabuki back in print!
I'm planning to visit Gabriel Dell' Otto in Rome and maybe do a signing
there together when we get a chance.
I met him in France a few years ago and we are working out a signing
time for Italy.
I'll keep you updated!

hear that you're a cannibal murderer, did you?
My GF's in love with Kabuki now. I'm spreading your web of evil.
I have been known to eat people.
Thanks for spreading the love!
Please continue to spread it
And keep me updated on all the other attrocities that I commit in your
home. I'm really enjoying it there. Watching you and everything.
Thanks for the dance.
And nice photo

I've sorta been thinking about getting the Noh tattoo on my back.
I don't have the money now but it's just beautiful and i think it's
something i'd like to see for years to come.
That would be great.
Then I can stare at it when you are dancing.
If you do get it, please send a photo if you'd like me to print it in
a book.
Ok, now back to the dancing.

the really wonderful thing about back tattoos is that since you don't
see them constantly, you really never get sick of seeing them... you'll
just notice it in the mirror or something & it's like a little happy
surprise!
That is a good point!
I love happy suprises.

If I do get it done I'll certainly send a picture.
And then I'll dance for ya.
But you have to break dance for me, at some point.
That sounds delightful.
I'll be happy to return the dance favor
Maybe some interpretive dance.

I'm jackin a bunch of the old kabuki business cards and sellin em on Ebay (j/k).
I'll probably see Tony sometime this week...I'll let him know you

I would definitely know who you are!
The costume and photos are great. You really captured the spirit of
Echo in them.
I think you should wear that costume to the Texas Con!
I'm sure it will come in handy for the dancing afterwards.
I saw this thread because I checked the news at the site davidmackguide.com and thornton had all of the photos of you there and a link to this thread.
Very cool!
See you in Texas!

glad you checked it out and wanted to tell you Echo is awesome. She
deserves her own book, or at least brought back into DD title again... not that my opinion matter much I guess but yea!!! More Echo, more Echo, more Echo (remember in living color?)
Texas is gonna rule!

So does that mean you will be wearing the costume in Dallas? :)

I'm thinking of getting Butoh's mask on the back of my neck. She's my favourite.
Cool, I'm glad to hear she's your fave!
Send a photo if you get it. Or better yet, post it here!
I have a great big collection of photographs of people with Kabuki tattoos.
I really should get them all sent to Thornton to put up a section on
davidmackguide.com so everyone can see how cool they all look.
There are some shown in the back of each Reflections 1-4 books.
I'll send a bunch of new photos of tattoos and art for the davidmackguide.com site asap.

I'm reading the 3rd trade right now... I held off reading Kabuki for certain situation that happens in the first trade which I am quite sensitive to, (I won't spoil it for those of you who's never read it.) that I knew were in there... until a friend sent me a copy with that certain
content blacked out for me. I'm SOO SOOOOO glad!!! because it's a phenomenal
series so far. Layout is unbelievable, the story gripping and the characters
are badass!
I love discovering good comics, and Kabuki is one of them!
- Taki Soma
I'm glad to hear that!
Thanks for continuing to read.
I think I know what you are talking about.
And I think the first trade is the only one that makes any kind of
graphic reference to that.
So hopefully all the other volumes are "Taki-safe".
But feel welcome to black out (or have friends black out) any pages
or panels that you prefer not to look at.
Also you can white out balloons and rewrite them, if you think of better
things for characters to say!
It will be our collaboration.
Or rip out pages and put them in any order that you prefer.
Like Scarab says, here life is a remix. you can put the beats in a different
order, and you can still dance to it

hi! We'll be at table 2057 (across from the celebrity signing area in the
back) and will have all 3 books, a trade, a sketchbook and prints. Robbi
and Russ will both be doing commissions. Say the magic password (ya know,
that you're on the Bendis board) and we'll see about the hook-up. Looking
forward to meeting some of you guys.
I'll be there the entire con.
Greg (and everyone),
Feel welcome to stop by the BECKETT booth and say hello if you get
the chance.
Amano and I will be signing there all day, everyday.
Otherwise, I'm sure I'll see you at the interpretive dance later in
the lobby

Do you agree that Bendis has Jumped
Tony Stark?
Nov 02, 2004 9:04 pm
has Bendis jumped Tony Stark with this latest Avengers, Tess? putting the over used Denny Haynes and Sara Poe who works best as a loner.will it take a year to get to the end of this story? or is Bendis a victim of too many Dianas telling him everything he comes up with is a great idea?
Discuss.
