The General...sits there, brooding intently, watching the women re-enact ancient masterpieces. As if each graceful move of an arm or flutter of satin inspires him, elevates him, to plot tactical strategies of similar eloquence.

April 2007 Solicitations
Below are the solicitations for two David Mack-related projects that will be released in April 2007 according to the February 2007 issue of Previews:
by Voltaire & Various
Deady, that evil teddy, returns in his greatest and most hilarious adventure yet as he takes on the land of the rising sun! Every Japanese cliché is lampooned and exploited as Deady takes on Godzilla, conveyer belt sushi bars, cosplayers, and one very, very cute little Japanese Gothic Lolita who turns out to be very, very crazy! Once again Voltaire invites some of the greatest talents in the comic book world to join him in his Japanese invasion. In this issue "Deady Meets Kabuki!" (by David Mack), "Deady Meets Shi!" (by Billy Tucci), "Deady Meets Princess Ai" (by TokyoPop), and Deady meets a bevy of other Japanese hotties at the hands of Junko Mizuno (Pure Trance, Hellbabies) and Yasushi Nirasawa (Final Fantasy, Vampire Hunter D). With amazing guest art by Andy Lee and flaming hot front and back covers by Tokidoki's Simone Legno! Written and illustrated by Voltaire honored guest contributors David Mack, Junko Mizuno, Andy Lee, Yasushi Nirasawa, and more!

BACK IN PRINT! Bastard Samurai takes place in present day Manhattan and focuses on Jiro, a killer at the top of his class at the KoZu sword school. The underground training camp in midtown takes in orphans and twists them into Bushido warriors used by the Yakuza in death matches staged across the city rooftops where Japanese businessmen gamble heavily on the always-fatal outcome. He-Man & She-Ra Painting at 2007 Cons
When Nonnie asked if Skeletor's face has skin or is just bone, David Mack confirmed it was bone and added: "I did a painting that comes with the DVD released last Christmas of Skeletor, She-Ra and He-Man. They are all pretty specific about making the characters exact in continuity. Was a job I never thought I'd have: Making sure Skeletor had the right yellow on his face, and re-doing She-Ra's arm bands to make them fit in continuity, etc. Did anyone see this painting card in the DVD? I still have the original and am going to take it to cons this year for sale."
