Is this an ongoing war on a corrupt power structure? A war of ideas? Not in the sense of The Art of War. But in the sense that this is the War of Art.

Mack and Bendis Collaborating on a Marvel Project?
From David Mack:
I'm back at Bendis'. We just returned from dinner with Alex Maleev.

I'm working on some fun Marvel projects here. And bike riding.

That is just the pre-tease. Brian will give you the full tease in a couple months.

A new trailer to THE ALCHEMY OF ART: DAVID MACK DVD is on line at herovideoproductions.com. I think they will continue to run new teasers and trailers that you can download. The DVD will be offered for December.

Stopped by the Excalibur comic store here in Portland over the weekend and said hi to everyone.

Thanks, Jamie.

Later Mr. Mack noted:
Good-bye, lovely Portland. I will see you soon again.

Nothing like hiding out in Bendis underground bunker and planning stories together.

Bendis is a lovely, lovely man.

I started to get the hang of Call of Duty, which was fun.

Maleev, great to chat with you today. My best regards on your new baby endeavors.

Tamora Pierce Mentions David Mack in Interview
Below are excerpts from White Tiger co-writer Tamora Pierce's interview with WizardUniverse.com:
We didn't have much contact with either David Mack or Phil Briones directly. We did send examples of things we had in mind for the covers, like Noh masks, and suggestions for poses or transformations, but Mack's art is iconic, and his own.

...

We're careful to incorporate Mack's cover images and concepts into the script. The idea of a comic is that words and images combine to make the story work. We're doing our best, as are the artists, to present these comics as a whole story, one solid unit.
