(Joshua Cheung)
Awesome report on the Toronto Comicon, JD! Damn, I was there
on Saturday only but I had no idea that Andy Lee was going to be at the show on Sunday. I'm so disappointed now that I missed him.
Hi Joshua,
I printed your letter in Kabuki #1.
Mabye I'll post on the board the names of other letter writers that
are included in the first few issues, in case you want to know ahead of
time.

Hello, I was wonderng what original artwork you might be
planning to bring to San Diego... Trying to figure out whether I'll need
to get a loan out on the house. heh.
I;ll have original art from Daredevil, Echo, Kabuki, Scarab, Alias covers and more.
Let me know if there is anything specific you want me to bring.

Re: Houston Signing?
SUN, 6/27/04, 1:28 a.m. - In Response To: Houston Signing? (Bedrock
City)
Hey there David! Just wondering if you have had time to
check your schedule for our potential Houston signing? I last spoke to
you in Philly and you said you were still interested then. Let me know....
Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Good to hear from you. Thank you for the reminder. I'd love to get
to Houston again. I might have mentioned to you that my uncle works for
Nasa there. Been a while since I visited.
And I like the beach there too:)
I'm still on a pretty strict publishing schedule right now. When I see
some light at the end of the tunnel, I'd love to arrange a signing.
Please give your customers my warmest regards!

Re: For David Mack, Please read now (Tues. January
WED, 6/30/04, 3:35 a.m. - In Response To: For David Mack, Please read
now (Tues. January 30) (scarab_noh)
Hi David, I am currently attending an art class in San Francisco
(I go to Wondercon every year. I hope to see you there in 2005). Anyway,
I'm in this art class, and I was wondering if it's ok to use one of the
pages from the Kabuki fan edition as a painting. We ( my class) will be having an exhibit of all our paintings on Friday, and I am trying to let everyone one know about Kabuki by using the character introduction page ( with all the masks) from the Kabuki Fan Editon. I have also made a painting of the last image of Scarab from Skin Deep act 3 (the part when she says "i have found lost little sister"). Also, when the class is over (this friday) I will post the paintings on My Kabuki fansite for all to see.
I have read Skin Deep and I think every page is amazing! I can't wait until I get the other books for my birthday on Sunday! I really, really Love your art and I want to teach everyone about Kabuki. I will have to explain my paintings to my class before I set them up in the exhibit hall. What should I say? I need to say something simple about Kabuki and the Noh agents that will be understandable to people who aren't comic book fans (because nobody in my class is). Also, I'm the only male member of my class so I need to say something about Kabuki that is understandable to females too.
Thanks,
scarab
That sounds great :)
For a short description of the Kabuki books to your school, go to davidmack.net and check out the brief descriptions of each volume.
Hope that helps.
I was in a university class where I was the only guy. It was an acting class. It was my favorite class from the entire time I was at school

{from london})
Very cool!
Are you the Claire from London that I met in Paris?
Best,
David
..after much messing around with digi cameras and picture
cds and computers that don't have to right software to reduce it in size....
....my panel can be found on my deviantart site, it's really big
when you click on the picture but at least you can read all the writing
and i'll try and send it to adam and maybe he can shrink it before it goes
on the site.
hope you enjoy and it hasn't diverted off the story too much, it's
kind of following from number 7 in my mind, exploring that a bit more.

(~Adam)
I'm actually on both, though I like Myspace a lot better,
since you can do more with your profile and the load times are a lot shorter.
So if anyone from here is on it, I'll add you to my friends list! Haha
I'm such a dork...
Hey Adam,
Good to see you at the Charlotte con. I dig the new story you showed
me. Have you posted a link to it here? Or is it on your site?
It was good to see you sitting at a table at the con. Did the show go
well for you?

I have become enamoured with the minimates, and couldn't
wait for them to produce one for Matt Murdock, so I bastardized a Bruce
Banner to make my own. Enjoy:
Now, where did I put my Wite-out to paint the cane?
Alice
Looks good!
I'll see if I can post the designs they did for the Kabuki mates.

Excellent! I am looking forward to collecting that series,
too. Say, did you get the newspaper article I sent? My cats thought it
was great litter box liner...
Alice
I did get it!
Thanks. I appreciate you sending it. And I'm glad you are getting such
recognition for your work!
