Re: Does David do convention sketches
SUN, 5/18/03, 7:34 a.m.. - In Response To: Does David do convention
sketches (Nick)
I'm a big fan of David artwork and I was wondering if David
does convention sketches nad if he does how much do they cost (I wanna
start saving up for DragonCon). Appreciate the help.
Hi Nick,
Thanks for reading my books and for your interest in my work.
I don't do any detailed commisioned work at shows but I do a quick ink brush drawing at cons for $20. I'm sure you'll see me doing them at the con and can decide if it works for you.
I hope to see you at Dragon COn. It is a really fun show. Stop by and introduce yourself.
Best,
David
Re: Wondering about Scarab... Matrix???

Speaking of Scarab has anyone noticed any similarities in the new Matrix film?
The way the Scarab story opens up with Scarab infiltrating a building
(in the black latex), getting shot at as she jumps through the window,
Crashes onto a car.
Well the Matrix opens the same way. Then it uses the scene in the exact
same way as well. By stopping it. And picking up on it later in the third
act of the story where we see the whole scene play out in its entirety
just like the Scarab book does.
Not to mention the Scarab motorcyle chase.
Not to mention that the new Matrix has a computor jockey named LINK.
Just like Kabuki Circle of Blood from 1995 has a computor jockey named LINK.
The Matrix credits also listed someone else as Ice. IE: Ice from Kabuki,
1994.
Not to mention the Twins. IE: Siamese ( the Twins from Kabuki, 1994).
Not to mention the Mad Tea Party scene IE: Kabuki Circle of Blood #5 "The Mad Tead Party" 1995.
Not to mention room 101 in the first Matrix film. IE: Room 101 in Kabuki Skin Deep from 1996.
I appreciate the little nods to my work, but at some point I have to wonder if there is a glitch in the Matrix.
Is there? I have an open mind. you tell me.
