Sometime I want to make a museum that displays all the arms and heads missing from the statues in all the other museums. Maybe put the sphinx’s nose there, too.

Kabuki sickle!
SUN, 8/11/02, 11:34 p.m. - In Response To: No sickle!? (Gabriel)

I've just read that the Kabuki sickle replica which was due out this month has been cancelled? Man, this totally ruins my plans for displaying my masks! Anyone have any othe info about it? Has it just been delayed, or have they scrapped it completely?
I know that they are definitely going to be produced, because some are already made and all of the exspensive parts of the manufacturing and sculpting is finished. I've been displaying the finished sickle at the recent signings I've done in San Diego and Chicago.

It looks like they have been delayed. I think a lot of people missed seeing the original solicitation ad. So it looks like they are going to resolicit the ad in the Previews magazine again to make sure they get the right amount of orders ahead of time. They will probably manufacture to fit the initial order so please make sure to get the order in ahead of time. Otherwise, like the masks, the sickles may be difficult to find after the fact.

Just ask your local comic shop to order the sickle ahead of time when it is offered in the Previews magazine.

Thanks,

David

My only Bay Area signing this year...
MON, 8/12/02, 7:36 p.m. - In Response To: Mack is back in town! Sept 14 at Lee's Comics. (Lee)

I missed Wonder con this year when I was in New Zealand and Australia. So I hope my readers in the Bay area will make it a point to go to Lee's new store in Sept. I'll have orginal artwork, a huge selection of prints, Kabuki T-shirts, paperbacks, hardcovers and back issues. I will be happy to sign all my books that you bring or pick up at the store. No limit on signings.

Hope to see you there!

DM
