Want to thank all of you at WizardWorld ...
TUE, 7/16/02, 3:44 a.m. - In Response To: Thanks for making WizardWorld
even better... (Brandon)
Thanks a bunch for the appreciation. We had a great Chicago show. That
was literally my tenth year in a row doing the Chicago con. The first time
was the very first time I started selling Kabuki art at a show (and when I met Bendis). It was great to see all of those that have stuck with me
over the years as Kabuki has developed. And great to see so many new readers starting to read Kabuki as well! I really appreciate those that have been with me over the years, and those of you who have just took the initiative and picked up Kabuki for the first time at the show.
A VERY FUN show. I presented an award at the awards ceremony. Accepted
one on Bendis' behalf, and was up for a nomination of best painter. Had
a great time speaking with other creators at a Wizard Dinner and at the
4th annual Marvel Knights dinner. Very fun to spend time with so many great
readers and creators at the show.

David,
I just wanted to thank you for spending so much quality time with
your fans at WizardWorld Chicago this past weekend. I was one of the guys
who stopped by to see what you were working on every time I was walking
near your booth.
I had never been to a "big convention" before, so I didn't know what
to expect, but certainly to have so many impressive creators fielding infinite
questions from fans, signing stacks of books and sketching constantly,
all with a smile was my most pleasantly unexpected suprise.
I was very happy that I was able to get a few autographs, and the
brush sketch that you did for me was outstanding! My sketchbook from the
convention will be treasured always as I look back at the excellent pieces
I got from generous artists.
I also wanted to thank you for agreeing to participate in the documentary
we are working on about comic book fans. I will let you know how it all
worked out when we complete it.
Thanks again for everything...I was a fan of your work before. Now
I can honestly say that I am a fan of David Mack, the man. Can't wait to
see what you do next...

Re: Guest artist pinups?
TUE, 7/16/02, 3:57 a.m. - In Response To: Guest artist pinups? (Anna)
What about including some of the pinups by guest artists
that can sometimes be found in individual issues? Since so many people
are just reading the collections they miss out on the extra goodies sometimes.
Just a suggestion.
That's a great suggestion. To have every single pin up every printed by
any other artist. I'm really going to check into that. It is a big book
already. If all those extra pages don't put the print cost too high, I
may be able to do it. May even be a chance to include some brand new pinups
that I have. I have some great new Kabuki pinups that other amazing artists have given me in recent years that I have not been able to include in anything yet. Hmmmn.
THanks!
Re: Kabuki Cover book in the works!

the works! (HotRob)
How about, Kabuki:Un-Covered
Thanks Robin, That is a great one! The trick is to find a title that is
immediatley recogonizable to stores and readers just what the book is.
Hence: something like KABUKI COVER ART BOOK. But Un-Covered seems to work pretty well for this and has some great charm!
Keep'em coming!
