I guess that’s what books do. Take you places. Inside and out. Move you. Inside. And out. You are at a different place after you read the book than you were before you read it. In many ways you are a different person as well. - The Alchemy #3

Andy Lee
FRI, 10/26/01, 7:07 a.m. - In Response To: Re: Kabuki movie (phantom42)

It was Andy Lee, not Andy Park

mack said at dragon*con at the beginning of september that it was to be live action, that he's seen the screen tests and that the role of kabuki [in the movie] has been cast though he couldnt release the name of who has been chosen. but he did say that the people who did screen tests were fairly large names. he went on about how amazing it was to see such big names reading lines he had written. i believe that the director has not been decided just yet though.

this was at the spotlight on kabuki which he hosted along with andy park (who was awesome enough to draw little pictures of everyone in attendance)

It comes with a special coupon that can be sent in, and then I will personally come to your home and manually apply the electrical tape to your anantomy.

Re: Masks of the Noh TPB price
SAT, 10/27/01, 8:38 a.m. - In Response To: Masks of the Noh TPB price (Andrew)
I bought this TPB today and the price on the back cover is 19.95. The checklist and amazon both list it for around 10 bucks. was the cover price a typo or what? note, the hardcover lists at 19.95, and this is NOT the hardcover.
You are right. The second and third printings of the [Masks of the Noh] tpb are I think $12.95. The Hardcover is $19.95.

The printer printed the hardcover price on the tpb too (as well as the incorrect bar code). But then I noticed when they sent my sample copy, and we then put a sticker (with correct price and bar code) over every single one of the books before they left the warehouse. This was two or three years ago on the next to newest (second) printing. The newest printings are all printed correctly.

It sounds like you have the second printing of this (now sold out) and that the sticker somehow came off. I'm sure your retailer will honor the correct price if you mention it to them and explain this story. They can call Image or Diamond if necasary.

That was the original one they sent to me but...

I actually made some improvements on it. So the improved one looks better. The black lines are a little thicker, and it will generally look just like the way I draw it. This one is just a little off. So rest assured that the actual mask will look even better than this one. I like it a lot.
