Hi David Mack,

I want to purchase a print or two from you if you still have any available. What size, subjects do you offer? I found a site that listed some Kabuki prints, but found no Daredevil. I would like a Kabuki and a Daredevil litho/print signed if you have any. Can you give me the payment/contact info?

I really like the title of this thread. That is a really good attitude!

Just go to davidmack.net.
It is a site Anh runs and I think it has a pretty good selection of prints.
And the contact info, etc is right there.

I'm sure you will find something there that you are looking for.
Feel welcome to post any other questions here.

Best,
David

Any further word on you attending Wondercon? I want to give you money too, it's just that I'd prefer to do it in person.
Nothing solid on that yet, But I'm still intending to go to Wondercon as long as my schedule allows.

I'll keep the board updated.

I hope to see you there.

2-6 are still available in hardcover.
But the Image published version of the volume one hardcover is totally out.
I don't think I have a single one of those.

But I do have a couple of the volume one hardcover published by Caliber. Our publisher pre-Image.
But it doesn't have the same cover/spine design as the others.

KABUKI #3 in stores next week!
Dec 21, 2004 9:10 am

My Marvel contact gave me the firm ship date of the 29th of this month.

A bit of a different style and approach to most of this issue.

And this issue is 28 pages of story. The rest is letters collumn.

Also check out the new stuff that will be daily updated on davidmackguide.com this week.

New cover images, etc.

Have a wonderful holiday!

I've never tried KABUKI, but Mack seems like such a nice person that I might give it a shot. Any suggestions as to where I should start with the series?
I hope you do check it out.

I'd recommend starting with either Vol 1 (KABUKI: Circle of Blood) or volume 5 (KABUKI: Metamorphosis) (my favorited of the collections so far.
Or with the new series coming out now called KABUKI: The Alchemy.
Only 2 issues out now, and they should be easy to find, and retailers can still order them.

You could start with any that you find, as each series has it's own arc and themes (but does also fit into coninuity with the others and build on them).  The important thing is that you just start.

Any of the volumes can be re-ordered by your retailer if they are sold out.

davidmack.net has a good description of each volume.

And davidmackguide.com has lots of info and daily updates.

If you have a chance to pick it up and read it, please post here to let me know what you think!

Kindest regards,
David

Very cool. I am looking forward to it; you've really been outdoing yourself lately, mr. Mack. Beautiful art, engaging story.

If you're in the ATL area at any point you gotta stop by the folks at Criminal Records... they love ya there. ^^ I've been spreading mega Mack love and all, too.

I'll defintitely be in ATL stop by Criminal.
Thanks for spreading the love!

That is a great point.
If you explain that you already are getting it from mail order soley because of the financial consideration.
And ask if the store can meet the same discount of all the books you advance order.

Then the store is actually gaining a new sale. Even at the discount, it would still be an extra sale for them.

Yes. Definitly.

Hope you are doing great.

I just re read all the trades. This is an amazing series. Holy cow. I had forgotten how good it was and how excited I was the first time I read the series and stopped at book 5. Now however I got to read book 6: Scarab...also wonderful. My only question is this....at the end when we are shown scarab's version of the fight with Kabuki in the doctors office, who's saying "out" in the final panel? That's scarab right? and she's dead....right? because Kabuki lives....but then scarab says she drives off with her boyfriend...which could have just been her romanticizing what could have been but I'm not sure....maybe I'm just dumb but could you clear this up for me Mack?
Hey special!

Really glad you are liking all the volumes on the re-read.
I think they get better on the re-reads.
Cause you see how all that stuff fits together in the bigger picture, and pick up some stuff that you may have missed on the first read.

My advice is to look back at the Kabuki POV of that scene in Metamorphosis and compare it with the Scarab POV of that scene at the end of SCARAB.

I think you will see how they fit together.

PS.
Thanks for the special comics shirt!

Yeah,
That was cool to see you and your sig image on the site.

I think Who cares, Murdock's girl. Yano, Taki Soma, and Dawn, have also been included in the section of the site in the past.

I think if you put a Kabuki (or Mack related) image in your sig or avatar, Or if you dress up like a character for your avatar photo, it pretty much guarantees you a spot on Thornton's site!

I think the sig Image you have will do just fine!

Actually, it is very well designed.
