I heal animals. Animals heal humans. Through pets, people learn to respect and care for another living creature. Then they can apply that to other people and living things in general.

Re: I HAVE MANY WANDA ACTION FIGURES... AVENGERS UPDATE
Nov 22, 2004 7:07 am

Congrats to Bendis!
You guys are great!
And very funny!

And DaveCummings, I think you have a letter in Kabuki #3.

Also JD Lombardi does.

And Michael Goodman too.

Hey welcome to the board here!
Glad to see you started posting

Actually, the way I remember it, I think Brian got crap everytime he started a new series.

Usually before the first issue ever came out.
I remember this with Alias and Ultimate Spiderman.

Hey John G! I got your books!
Nov 22, 2004 7:19 am

Anh and I both loved it!

Thanks a bunch man. That was very powerful stuff.

And I like the note you wrote to us on the photo copy of your hand.
It's hanging on my fridge right now.
No joke.

Your secret admirer,
David

See you at Mid Ohio!

They are pretty cool.

I have a set of them. The guy who does it is pretty amazing.

In the next Previews catalouge the stuffed Panda from Scarab is going to be offered. I think it will be offered for a very affordable price.

Happy birthday Jeffery!

Cool,
Did you already see info on it?

I forwarded a photo of the Panda to David Thornton at davidmackguide.com so he should have that up today or this week.

Count me in for the PANDA, probably two, actually. I'm sure my GF will want one. Excellent merch idea btw.

Any word on the SICKLE replica?

Good to hear!
Yeah, they really would make good girlfriend gifts, wouldn't they?

I'm curious, what would any of you be more likely to get, the Scarab Action figure, or the stuffed Panda?

Re: I want this so badly (Kabuki-related)

Hmm. Looks like the Panda is more popular right now.
Thanks.

If you do decide you want that hardcover deal in the future PM me sometime and remind me what it was. And I'll do the deal and send them to you when I get a moment.

Glad you dig the Panda though. It is from the volume 6 Scarab.

So after you read that you may dig it more. And you'll know why it has all those stitches

Re: MACK! ... a new reader's thoughts on Kabuki [spoilers]
Nov 23, 2004 1:41 pm

Thanks! I really appreciate that. I'm glad you liked them.

You'll find more in the moment action, in the other trades, Masks of the Noh (vol 3), and Scarab (vol 6).
The trades I suggested to you were to give you the whole story that comes before the current storyline and show the introduction of the new characters and thier histories, that play a part in the new series.

Hmm, so in a way, you were saying the art being "impressive" kept you from reading it?

I'll fix that!

You have letters in Kabuki #3... and more...
Nov 24, 2004 11:16 pm

Some of you who have written to me have some letters in upcoming Kabuki collumns.

Off the top of my head...

JD Lombardi, thanks for the great letter. You have a letter in Kabuki #3.

Dave Cummings, also in #3.

Michael Goodman also in #3.

Just in case you want to know in advance to get extra copies to impress your friends and family

The letters I'm getting for this series have been GREAT!!!!
Thanks so much for this kind of feedback.
Lots of good other letters in there too.

But I did have to shorten the letters collumn this time, cause I went way over with the story pages.

28 pages of solid story and art.

Most Marvel books that I've done are 20 or 21 pages.

I figured I should try to keep every issue of this series at 22 if I could.
But with issue #2 it went to 24.
And with issue #3 it went to 28.

so, less letters collumn but more story.

But I'm getting more letters for this arc than ever before. And really well thought out ones.
So I'll get them all in there eventually

KABUKI #3 is a really special issue to me. There is a much bigger book inside this book.

You'll see!

And much of it has a completely different style than you've seen from me before.
Looking forward to your reaction on that.

Best,
David

PS,
See you at Mid Ohio Con!

Re: I need f*cking help BIG TIME - Only the ladies answer pl
Nov 25, 2004 4:48 am

Probably just cause you were talking about him earlier.

Once I was hanging out with Andy Lee in Hawaii.

And I called my girlfriend on the phone and as I was hanging up I meant to ask how the cat was doing. But instead of saying our cat's name, I said the name of my ex-girlfriends cat.

I know this sounds ridiculous.
But earlier that day, Andy was talking about that cat a lot and we were laughing about it and saying it's name.

Then... Bam!
I said the name of the ex-girlfriends cat on the phone.

But there was no sex with any of the cats.

So, I think that should clear things up for you.

I don't have the issue yet.
What did I miss?

Not again!

Re: Poor David Mack

Well, if it is in print in the letters collumn, I guess you might as well say it here...

What?

Ok, yeah its not really spoilery and whatever.

BENDIS: The editor of the What If? comics is David Mack. Send all What If? submissions to: 13 Boone St. Bromley, KY 41016

That is funny!

You're going to see Anh at that art show in Portland soon.
Sadly I won't be there, as I have all kinds of movie meetings and conference calls.

But I've seen all the art she has put together for the show, and it is really cool.
That is going to be a very cool event. With Anh, and Craig Thompson, and Jeffery Brown.
I imagine Bendis will probably be there too with Anh.

I'm really proud of her!

Who else is showing art there?

By the way, the show is next week for those that don't know about it.

I think TooCool made a good thread about it telling all the details.
